Simon began his career as an accountant before moving into direct sell holidays. He spent many years in Financial Services working across a range of products and services which included regulated products. Data Protection was always on his agenda and since setting up his business fifteen years ago, he has worked across many different business sectors for both B2B and |
B2C, including being a judge for the DMA and Loyalty Awards. For the last five years he has been working solely on GDPR and its implementation into businesses. This has entailed auditing, data mapping, policy writing and training of staff members and teams on how GDPR affects their day to day roles. |
He has audited every type of business from a Musician to a Chocolate Factory to IT company and charities. A member of the DMA (Data Marketing Association), the EEDAP, the ADPP and the GDPR Institute, he has written core training modules for the IDM (Institute of Direct Marketing) GDPR certificate which won an award. He also lectures MA Students at the |
University of Pittsburgh on the global impact of GDPR to businesses. He currently speaks at security events about Facial Recognition under the GDPR framework. |
